-We moved in to our house in Flower Mound in late June. Things went very smoothly with the move. I was in Indy for the loading of the truck there then flew down here to Texas to close on the house. Jenny and her mom drove down from Indy and were here in time for the moving van to arrive and move us in to the new house.
-Jenny spent most of July unpacking things and get
ting the house settled and she did an AMAZING job! I couldn't have done it without her. While she may not be working in an office, she certainly was working her tail off here. The place really feels like a home now.
-My family came to visit us the first week of August. My mom, dad, grandma, Sara and Noah drove down for a nice road trip while Jason, Megan and Eric flew down. We had a great time showing everyone the sights here in Dallas. Part of the family also drove down to San Antonio to see the attractions there as well. It was a great week and we can't wait for them to come back!
-Jenny's brother, Jon, flew down the week after my family was here and we also showed him around Dallas. Here's a couple pictures we took from Cowboys Stadium where we took a tour (amazing place!)
-It was then time for Jenny to go back to Indiana. Her and Jon drove back to Indiana in a 15 1/2 hour day with no problems (other than the driving going the wrong direction down the interstate at 4 AM!). Jenny went back to Indiana so that she can finalize the preparations for the wedding. Much easier to do from there than it is 1000 miles away here in Texas.
-I flew back to Indianapolis last weekend for Labor Day. Jenny and I completed our engagement photos at her parents' house and then we drove to my parents' lake house in Michigan to celebrate all of the September birthdays in my family (including my own). It was a great way to finish out the summer! My family is helping me show some Texas pride on my truck as well:
I'm now back here in Texas by myself for the next month until the wedding which is exactly 4 weeks from today (it's incredible how quickly the last year has gone, I proposed to Jenny one year ago tomorrow). We'll be married before we know it and laying on the beach in Jamaica!
Sorry that I don't have more pictures to post. We've been so busy we haven't had a chance to take a great deal of pictures down here at our home. However, rest assured that as we update the blog after the wedding and heading in to the holiday season we'll have plenty of pictures. Jenny is already starting to plan her holiday decorating!
